Welcome to my website and I’m glad you stopped by!
A little about me:
I first fell in love with language and expression while growing up in Hackensack, NJ. I sharpened and broadened my interest in different forms of writing during my undergraduate years attending Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. I graduated with a BA in English in May of 2011. After graduating I applied for and was granted admittance into a program where I would travel to the People's Republic of China to teach English to Chinese undergraduates.
I lived in Qufu from August 2012 through July 2013 where I taught English reading and writing at Qufu Normal University. During that time, I also traveled for two months throughout South East Asia. The countries I visited include Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar. The experiences were so profound and powerful for me that I decided to apply for grad programs upon my return to the United States, and began writing a lyrical travel memoir. I graduated in May of 2016 with a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. My book, a memoir entitled Characters in the Trees is still in the works, but will soon be finished and, I hope, a profound reading and spiritual experience for any interested readers.
Currently I live in New Jersey and have an article scheduled for publication on February 7th, 2017 which you can check out at www.essaydaily.com. The article details my philosophical beliefs on writing, language and the duty of writers to engage readers on existential planes.
Please take a look around and get familiar with some of my work!
